Financial & Investment Literacy is a four month semester length course designed for middle and high school students. Students will learn the basics of financial tools and management, in addition to the basics of investment practices in the private and public investment markets. This is an essential course to introduce students to financial and investment management early in their education and careers. Studies show that students who are introduced to financial and investment management early in their academic careers are more successful in their adult business and financial pursuits. This course serves as an excellent supplement to a students normal academic courses in middle and high school.

The course will be taught online over four months with regularly scheduled online supervision by faculty of the Hannaian Research Institute. Individual instruction can also be scheduled as needed for special students.

Course Registration & Prerequisite Requirements

The first step in Registration to enroll in SchoolGenes Courses is accomplished by completing the information in both your "Profile" and "Portfolio" in the Profile section on SchoolGenes. After completing both these forms you must then visit the Course/Group that you wish to be enrolled in and request permission to become a member of that Course/Group. The course instructor will then check to ensure that all of your credentials and requirements are in place and you will be admitted or advised of what additional credentials or requirements must be completed.

The Hannaian Student Matching System (HSMS)

Before being admitted to take an HRI course, a student must provide certain particulars about their education and experience whereupon if deemed adequate they will be admitted to enroll in the standard course.

Once enrolled the first quarter of each course is a probationary period wherein the students’ performance in related course work is judged as to their ability to stay current and competitive with the general body of the class. The Instructor shall at the end of the first quarter provide full enrollment privileges only to those students deemed capable of being competitive with the general body of students in the course. Those students not granted full enrollment will be offered the ability to take the standard course the next semester if they complete required remedial work as identified by the Instructor.
