Capital Market Driven Economic Development is a three credit hour college semester length course. The Course is designed to teach the inside strategies and techniques used to fund, and operate the capitalization of major projects in community economic development and in the building of local economies. The course will afford students the opportunity to understand the Liquid Capital Markets of the world, the source and structure of capital funding, and the functioning of major corporations and their behavior. Students will understand the role and functions of funding entities such as hedge funds, private equity firms, venture capital firms, and other sources of major capitalization.

This Course explores the Black Arts Movement, sometimes called the Second Harlem Renaissance, with unique insights from an insider's view of the early Movement. Dr. Vertamae Grosvenor course instrutor and a resident of the East Village and Harlem during the period, participated in the Movement and interacted with many of the most notable personalities of the Era. Dr. Grosvenor and Dr. Helen Bartlett-Hanna reveal a comphrehensive, historical, and previously uncharted and untold view of the Black Arts Movement in the United States.
